Kitchen remodeling will increase the whole appeal of your home instantly. However, it's not an easy task to perform because it needs prior planning before starting the remodeling process. A smart way of regaining the beauty of the kitchen area is by hiring an experienced remodeling contractor. Before hiring remodeling contractors, always remember that the beauty of your entire home depends on the contractor's quality of work. Hence, check out the contractor not once, but twice when it comes to remodeling.

Few important tips that may help you to choose an expert remodeling contractor are listed below:

Years of Experience:

The first and foremost thing to be considered while choosing a kitchen remodeling contractor is the years of experience. Always remember that only an efficient contractor will be capable of retaining its influence in the remodeling arena. Years of experience will say more about a remodeling contractor's performance, strategies, reliability, flexibility and innovation.

Strategies Deployed by the contractor:

The strategies followed by the contractor will help you to calculate the contractor's capability and availability. Most of the experienced contractors will always collect the suggestions, expectations and budget of the homeowner regarding kitchen remodeling and then will design a layout plan according to the homeowner's expectation. If it is approved by the homeowner, then the remodeling process will commence. This basic strategy brings a better understanding between the contractor and the homeowner. Ultimately, after the completion of the remodeling task, both contractor and the homeowner will be satisfied. Kansas City consists of many reputed remodeling contractors that deploy latest technologies and strategies to perform kitchen remodeling efficiently and within the homeowner's budget.

Reference:

References from friends and neighbors about remodeling contractors would ease your searching because you may be able to get most of the essential details about the contractor from them. References will provide details such as reliability, strategies, cost, availability, interaction, efficiency and success ratio of the contractor.

Certification:

It is one of the important criteria that must be met by the contractor because certification determines the standard quality of the contractor. Furthermore, certified professional remodelers would implement new innovations and techniques that would turn your kitchen remodeling unique and stylish. If the kitchen is not remodeled according to standard measures then the remodeling would not last long and you would have to spend money regularly to restore it.

Warranty:

A contractor that provides warranty portrays that its remodeling service is trustworthy. A warranty may vary according to the contractor's terms and conditions. Remodeling contractors located in Overland Park provide several years of warranty that is very helpful for the homeowners.

Fees:

Fees depend upon the remodeling process. Complex remodeling process will require more fees. Don't worry about the fees because a perfect kitchen or bathroom remodeling will last longer and would save the maintenance cost of the kitchen or bathroom for many years.

All these tips would help you to obtain an expert kitchen remodeling contractor for your home sweet home.

Instagram has gained tremendous popularity over the last several years. It is popular with people of all sorts of demographics and from all walks of life. In the case with Instagram, the number of followers that you acquire is what is most important.

Number of followers equals Instagram success

It is important to be aware here that there is a lot more to Instagram than just the number of followers you can acquire. However, your number of followers is one of the important measurements (or metrics) of the social media tool. If you have a large number of followers, other people will have the perception that you (and your business) are a success. That lends itself to your professional credibility and trustworthiness.

A strong number of followers also gives you the confidence that your message is being received by other people online and it allows you to increase your reach to a large number of good-quality connections. It also goes a long way to strengthening your relationship with your target audience, which is essential to your success.

Appropriate use of hashtags: When it comes to gaining increase exposure and visibility, hashtags are a great way to do that. However, it is very important that you don't get carried away when it comes to using hashtags. The reason that you don't want to overdo it with hashtags is that your target audience will not appreciate it and they may not stick with you as a result. There are some guidelines that you should follow when using hashtags so that you get the best results possible from your target audience members.
Use very specific hashtags
Customize the hashtag to the particular social media channel that you are using
Make sure that your hashtags are strong but not promotional
Make your hashtags clear and concise
Don't use too many hashtags
Create an event: Putting together an event in which you gather influencers, brand ambassadors, loyal followers, etc., is an excellent way to increase your Instagram followers. The results of such an event can be multifaceted, such as acquiring an increased number of followers, building increased brand awareness, and increasing engagement with your target audience members.

Run and appropriate contest: People love contests, especially if they win a prize that they feel was worth their effort to participate. A contest can generate a lot of buzz about your business, make people feel excited about being involved, and build relationships that are solid and enduring. It is important for you to provide incentives that are worthwhile. Some of the ways in which you can get people involved in your contest is by getting them to "like" the contest, getting them to make comments on your contest (people love to voice their opinions and to feel that their opinions are important to you), and other creative ways to get people involved.

Get loyal followers involved: Another really good way to gain Instagram followers is by getting loyal followers involved. Let them help you to run your event or contest. Give them a voice and make them feel that you truly value their participation. There are many benefits to doing this, such as giving your brand an emotional/human feeling, making your reach wider, increasing your reputation, increasing your traffic, and making more people aware of your brand.

Connect with a social online community: Having a sense of belonging to a community is critical to your ever-increasing success as a business person. Not only is it important to be a part of a social community but it is also essential that you interact with the members of that community (or communities). You will want to interact in the following ways:
Share your story: Everyone has a story (probably more than one). Share yours because it will resonate with the other members of your social community. If people can relate to what you are sharing, you will be successful at forming relationships with them. That is critical to your success.
Make sure that others want to share your content: It is one thing to write top-quality content but it is another thing entirely to get people to want to share the content that you have shared with them. If your content is shared, you will be able to engage a larger number of people and thus increase your Instagram followers.
Clearly understand the reasons behind your social community: It is extremely important for you to have a clear understanding of why you needed to build your social community. There are so many reasons but each one is important and each one should be in your head at all times.
Post content in a way that makes sense: From the beginning, you have had a marketing strategy that makes sense for your business. It is part of your business plan and you need to follow that roadmap so that you can achieve the milestones that you have set out to accomplish. What was important in the beginning is still just as important for your business.

Get involved with other people on Instagram: It isn't enough to have established an Instagram account. You need to interact with people. That means that you need to "like" the photos that other people are posting and leave comments. Get involved in the discussion. It is critical to your success.

Pose questions: Just like on other social media channels, you should ask questions on Instagram. Ask thought-provoking questions that make people want to jump in and start interacting. That is exactly how you form relationships.
Conclusion

Instagram is one of several effective social media tools that you should consider leveraging for your business. With Instagram, it is all about the number of followers that you can acquire. The fact is that without a large number of followers, you and your business will become obscure. You need to gain a foothold with the tool and become popular so that your business will become more successful. It is important to understand what needs to be done so that you can bring your business to the next level.

1. The top categories of your website should be visible. Make sure that they stand out.

2. Include sub categories, which are relevant to the top categories on your website.

3. Your message and/or motto should be informative, engaging and memorable.

4. Users should know what your website is about on the Homepage.

5. Create content, which is unique & contains valuable information.

"My rule of thumb is build a site for a user, not a spider."
Dave Naylor.

Important Elements that you Should Consider While Planning your Website:

Your website is your gateway to reaching customers and gaining a loyal audience. There are two really important elements, which should be checked before the development and designing of a website. For starters, your website should be user friendly. Visitors and users should be able to navigate throughout your website with ease. Secondly, always keep in mind that your website will be essential in the way people will find your services and/or products.

The most important page on a website is the Homepage, as this will be the first page that visitors and users usually stumble upon during searches on different search engines. If your website's Homepage is designed in a user friendly fashion - it is more than likely that users and/or visitors will navigate through other pages of your website.

Navigation layout and/or design is paramount to the success of your website, as users are often put off by web pages that aren't user friendly. Arrange categories in a way, that will make it simple for users and for customers to browse through. Also, make sure that your website loads promptly, as slow loading website can be detrimental to your website.

Use Friendly SEO Urls:

On websites, create pages that are clear and that describe each topic, product or service. SEO friendly websites go hand in hand with the development and design of the website. Be sure to utilize SEO friendly urls.

• An unfriendly URL is a URL with irrelevant characters. Avoid using characters that do not pertain to the page's topic. An example of an unfriendly and irrelevant URL would contain characters that do not include the brand name or subject of the web page. Unfriendly urls, can also, contain characters such as:!,#,% and other symbols and/or letters, that do not pertain to your web page. Do not use these formats.

• An SEO friendly URL, typically has the topic or name of the page within the URL.

Keep these tips in mind when creating the different pages of your website. Friendly urls will attract more visitors and users, as these pages won't appear suspicious.

The Importance of Website Pages' Titles:

The title used for each page on a website is of utter importance for your website's success. Keeping it simple and clear usually is the best route to go. Titles on different pages of a website should contain a keyword, which you know users are searching for on different search engines.

The titles of pages on a website will appear on the website URL, as well, as in search engines. Titles should describe the content of the page. It is recommended for each document to contain a title tag.

Content for Websites - Use Unique and Relevant Keywords:

Before creating and adding content to your website, be certain that you've done thorough research on what your targeted audience and customers are looking for. For instance, you can utilize Buzzsumo to analyze the content that's being used on an array of topics and/or competitors. Find out about the latest trends and about topics that are being shared - this way you can stay ahead of your competition.

The Importance of Heading Tags:

Use H1, H2 and up to H6 headings for heading tags on content. Such will show Google, which texts are more important and what the topic is about. The heading tags will help rank your website.

Why Internal and External Links are Important for SEO:

INTERNAL LINKS -

Internal links are links that are found within your website. Internal links will help your users and visitors to navigate through relevant pages and topics faster. Adding hyperlinks to the content on your website will re-direct users to other pages on your website. Google follows such links to be able to track the associations of links to and from the website content.

EXTERNAL LINKS -

External links are links, which are found on other websites that will re-direct users back to your website and website pages. External links can also, be found on your website, which re-direct users and visitors to other websites. Google will follow these links, as these links can have an immense impact on your domain's rank.

For example, a link from Forbes magazine that links back to your website, can generate a significant amount of traffic, which will increase your page's visibility and authority. However, stay away from unethical SEO practices and shortcuts - such as - suspicious link building. Google will penalize your website if you are caught utilizing unethical SEO practices.

It is advised for you to use Ahrefs to analyze back links on blogs and competitors. Ahrefs will identify the amount of back links that website content has generated, social shares, organic keywords, organic traffic and lists of paid keywords.

Clear Calls to Action:

Call to actions are buttons or links that inform and persuade users and visitors to click on these buttons and/or links to do something else. Some examples of call to actions include:

• Contact Us
• Call Us
• Subscribe to My Email
• Buy Now
• View Details

All the above calls to actions will persuade users to take the next step.

Call to actions alert users in taking actions quicker. Furthermore, call to actions - also, helps with user-engagement and conversion rates.

What you can expect when you implement the above tips:

Implement all the tips that we have mentioned when developing or revising your website and surely, your website will be successful and fruitful. Cater and engage with your audience in all possible ways and you will notice an increase on the traffic of your website.

There are several proven ways to get media exposure for your Website or Blog. From Social Networking to YouTube Videos and it does not have to cost you anything. Except you internet connection that is. Turning a Blog post into a video is among many exposure tactics used by Super Successful Marketers. But it always is and always will be the quality of your content to get media exposure for your website or blog.

To turn a blog post into a video use a Free Tool called "Lumen 5". You can easily search your browser and access this valuable tool. Please take your time and learn your way around Lumen 5, it's a great way to get media exposure.

With video ranking, the SEO is pretty much the same as with a website or blog. To get media exposure for your website or blog you need to be extremely descriptive and precise. Tell YouTube what your video is about. And always place your Target Keyword as the first word in your video title. In fact, try having around 3 target keywords in the video title. But be sure the keywords are used within context of the title.

Now the same target keywords must be present within the first sentence of the video description. But they must also populate the content of the description, and again. Always within context. Just cramming a bunch of keywords together that makes no sense will get your video nowhere.

The video description is your opportunity to convince the viewer that this is what they have been looking for.

Next we will look at another way to get media exposure for your website or blog. And it is something you most probably use every day. You guessed it... Facebook!

Create a Facebook Page related to your website or blog niche. Then you install a plugin called "Hello Bar" and follow the simple guidance to link your blog to that Facebook page. The Hello Bar displays as "Like Us On Facebook". But we're not done with the Plugins yet.

Another plugin I personally use is called "Tweedis" which is equally simple to understand. This allows you to use Highlight Text that is shared by your blog readers. Place one share option in the beginning of your Blog Post. And also one in the centre and at the end of the post.

In conclusion to plugins you want to use a plugin called "Digg Digg". That's the floating share button you see on so many professional websites and blogs.

These are all great tools and have proven themselves successful many times over. But without Unique and Compelling content any exposure tool may end up appearing pretty useless. Time is the most important ingredient to your online success. And to get media exposure to your website or blog will take time. Because you must build reputation and inspire your audience with content.

Open mic nights are cropping up left, right and centre, and the musical world has mixed feelings about it. The open mic night is a steadfast tradition in the live music community, and is for a lot of musicians the first foray into performance.

All it takes is a decent space, some decent sound equipment, a few decent people, and you've got a ready made community. Sooner or later, you'll find yourselves attracting more and more inquisitive listeners and adventurous drinkers, and, next thing you know, a scene is born.

This is, of course, the best case scenario. Woefully often, nascent scenes succumb to cliques and elitism, which, coupled with stalls in development, can discourage newcomers, leading to their stagnation and eventual demise.

Nevertheless, any stage can be a platform for you to propel yourself into the musical stratosphere, and, in your capacity as an intrepid and curious musician, you will always find people worth talking to at such events. And, at any rate, you only get as involved as you want to.

The Benefits of Open Mic Nights

Here are a few ways to use the open mic circuit to your advantage, as, like it or not, they're here to stay for the foreseeable future. And if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Testing the Waters

When you're just starting out, there are some things you need to experience first hand, like breaking a string, losing your voice, or playing to crowd who clearly don't give a monkey's (and remember – three can be a crowd, so you can only ask everybody to put their hands in the air ironically).

Better to know what it's like to find yourself nervous, unready and even mildly humiliated at this stage than on one that takes a lot more organisation to reach. Here, you can turn up, plug in, do you bit and sit back down. You eventually realise how much of a luxury it is to not have to be responsible for your own mixing or set up your own equipment, so thank your lucky stars. Then thank whoever actually set it up.

It's also worth mentioning here that you shouldn't get too attached to the first open mic you play at – there really are loads of them, of varying quality and popularity. By all means remain loyal if you make some real friends, but don't let that stop you venturing out. At any rate, there are fresh pairs of ears waiting for you at the next venue, so don't deprive them of the privilege!

Making Connections

Chances are your local open mic is going to run by someone in the know – or at the very least on the outskirts of the know.

They’re bound to have seen many acts come and go during their tenure, some of whom perhaps having moved on to greener pastures, but adopt a friendly approach, show an interest in their story and you can rest assured that they'll tell you it.

You never know – your future bandmates may be sitting right beside you, just as unsure of how to make the first move. Ask open ended questions and be prepared to be asked a few too.

Do you outsource your marketing? Is it time consuming and Costly? If you answered these questions with a YES or would like to take more control of your marketing campaigns to maximize your profit? Looking for some family fun on the water? Are the kids tired of doing the same old thing every summer? If so, take the kids out on a kayak and let them have a hands on adventure.

First and foremost make kayaking fun for the kids. Life is an adventure and you are giving the joy of their very own adventure. Tell them stories, tell them about history, tell them about the people before them that travelled downs these same rivers, just as they are doing. Tell them why they did it and where they were going. Bring history to life for them.

Now that the kids are excited about the trip its time for the practical matters. Every child (and adult) should be wearing a PFD every time they are in the kayak. Go to your local kayak dealers, outdoor specialty store and try different brands to see which is the best fit for your kids. Children's safety, in and out of the kayak, should be your number one responsibility.

Next, comes the clothing. Hats, kids should have a hat with a brim that protect their eyes from the sun and glare, and from the spray from the water. Think like a fisherman as you want to protect their head, face and neck from the sun and water. Floppy hats with brims work well.

Clothing, think in layers. kids get uncomfortable when they are too hot, Thinks layers that can be added or removed as the weather on the water can quickly change. Think shorts and long pants, tee shirts and long sleeve shirts. Clothing should be brightly colored. Kids are always leaving stuff behind and camouflage will be hard to spot when leaving a campsite where as bright neon blue or lime green will quickly catch your eye. Also in case of trouble those colors are easy to spot by passersby. Rain weather gear should also be close at hand.

Sneakers, boots and sandals all have their pros and cons. One thing for sure if they get wet you want something that will quickly dry or have an alternative at hand.

Kids Stuff. What kid does not have "stuff", their "stuff", "stuff" that they just can't live without. Let them bring some along but only what will fit in a box, 'their box". You should also have a box with treats, snacks and goodies that will serve not only to perk up energy levels but also will double as a reward for times when camping chores need to be finished. Also bring a few age appropriate books for the child. It gives them something extra to do and some time for themselves when everyone is tired.

Also give your child a paddle to use in the kayak. Even though they may not be strong enough to paddle distance, and you will be doing all the work, giving them a paddle makes them feel like they are indeed part of the adventure.

1. GET OUT THERE!

Introducing yourself to wedding vendors is critical since these are the folks who will become an endless source of referrals for you. Get out there and meet everyone, with an emphasis on everyone! Think beyond your typical caterers, florists and photographers. Travel Agents, make-up artists, massage therapists, ballroom dance instructors...you never know where that next referral is coming from.

2. INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO OTHER WEDDING PLANNERS

I know, I know, but instead of thinking of your fellow wedding planners as 'the competition', think of them as an endless source of referrals for your wedding planning business. Yes, referrals!

Imagine that you and I are both wedding planners in the same town. A bride comes to me needing help with just day-of wedding services. The thing is that I recently made the decision to work on full-service weddings only. Rather than turn her away, I call you and ask if you're interested and available to help her. Or perhaps a bride requests your professional wedding planning services but you're already booked on her wedding day. Imagine how grateful your bride would be if you're able to recommend her to me, another fab wedding consultant.

You get the idea?  Unless (or until) you have an entourage of wedding planners working for you, it's unlikely that you can handle all of the wedding planning business in your town. Get to know the other 'professional' wedding planners out there...you'll be so glad that you did.

3. MAKE A LIST OF POTENTIAL VENDORS

Your next step is to make a list of the specific vendors you'd like to meet. A good place to start is the local vendor listing on The Knot. Don't contact anyone just yet. At this stage you're just creating a list. Look at vendor websites, read bride testimonials and you'll soon get a feel of whom you'd like to know better.

Local bridal shows are another source for wedding vendors. Typically the show organizers print a program and list wedding vendor names on the bridal show website.

4. SCHEDULE WEDDING VENDOR APPOINTMENTS

Set a goal to meet a certain number of wedding professionals each week. Call each vendor and arrange a 15-minute appointment to introduce yourself. Taking the time to make the call shows them that you're a professional. Don't just 'drop in' unannounced!

I've found that most vendors get busier as the week progresses, so you may want to arrange for your appointment to happen earlier in the week. Of course, that may not always be the case. Each vendor you contact will let you know what time works best for them.

5. RESEARCH EACH VENDOR

Once you have secured an appointment with a wedding vendor, familiarize yourself with their company before your meeting.

Check out the company website, their blog, Google them, read brochures, etc. Although the point of the meeting is to find out as much as you can about the vendor's line of business, think about how you will answer any questions s/he may have about your wedding planing business.
Be prepared to answer questions succinctly and with confidence. Nobody wants to hear you ramble on about yourself (except you, perhaps).

6. WIIFM:"What's In It For Me? (the vendor, that is!)
Yes, that's right; think carefully about what you can do for each and every wedding vendor you meet. Do you have a shared interest? Or someone that they would be interested in working with? When you go out of your way for another vendor (or any person for that matter), you increase the likelihood of that person doing the same for you.

7. MASTER THE VENDOR MEETING

For your face-to-face vendor meeting, dress as you would for a client meeting.  Remember the adage 'you never get a second chance to make a first impression'. You are representing your business.

People are easily the number one subject for photographs. From party snaps, to photos of children and travel shots of family members in front of famous monuments, millions upon millions of people photographs are taken every single say of the year.

Portrait photography is a little different to general people photography. The intent of portrait photography is capture and display something of the 'essence' of a person; to say something about their character, personality, or life.

The three most important things to get right in portrait photography are camera settings, lighting, and your relationship with your model.

Camera settings for portrait photography

Because taking portrait photographs is all about a person's face (or if it's a wider shot, their head-and-shoulders), classic portrait photography settings seek to remove anything distracting from the background of the shot. This mimics the effect of looking at someone's face from very close up, and makes the subject 'pop' (this is photographer-speak for 'stand out and capture attention').

The way to achieve a distraction-free portrait photo is to use a wide aperture, often as wide as possible (f/2.8 or f/4 are popular choices). Wide apertures produce a shallow depth-of-field, which renders anything far from the plane of best focus - i.e. the background - as a soft blur.

Aside from a wide aperture, the only other important setting is ISO. This should be as low a number as possible (e.g. ISO 100), as higher ISOs will lead to digital noise, which is particularly ugly in a portrait.
There's one offshoot of portrait photography where the recommended settings are different, and that's environmental portrait photography. Environmental portrait photography seeks to show a person in their 'natural habitat', which is often their workplace. Here you want to show the background, so a smaller aperture is appropriate.

Lighting for portrait photography

Lighting in portrait photography can be as complicated as you like. Professional portrait photography is almost always done in a studio, where the lighting can be 100% controlled. If you're reading this, chances are you don't have your own photography studio, so let's discuss a simple lighting scheme you can set up at home.

First, position your model at a window. The light coming from the window should be bright, but not direct (i.e. not coming directly from the sun). You model should be facing you, side on to the window. Light from the window light will obviously light up the side of their face that is closest to it. Then, position something on the other side of your model that will bounce reflected light from the window onto the other side of their face. Anything white or reflective will do, for example a piece of white cardboard or a sheet of aluminum.

Now you have a basic, flattering light scheme, with the main light source on one side of your model's face, and 'fill' light from the reflector on the other. Don't forget that you should frame the shot close enough that the reflector is not in the shot.

Interacting with your subject

Portrait photography inevitably says something about the relationship between photographer and subject. Unless you're shooting professional models, the hardest thing about taking portrait photos is not in fact camera settings or lighting, but ensuring that your model is comfortable and relaxed enough to give you good results. A model who feels awkward, uncomfortable or self-conscious will not photograph well.
